Took friends there for lunch and had a wonderful meal. Lunch specials are still very filling. My soup was very good and not thickened into paste like so many restaurants do. Tempura vegetables were delicate and crisp, shrimp light and crunchy. Waitress was attentive without being overly intrusive.

Loved this place! Tvs at the bar and a nice dining side. Cute little Polaroid pictures of previous guests hung on the walls. Modern music unlike most Asian food places. They have really good specials too! We had the castle hills roll and the surf and turf roll. Delicious plus our waiter was awesome!
If you haven't been here before, I'd consider it one of San Antonio's hidden treasures. Fujiya's is an authentic Japanese restaurant. It doesn't look like much on the outside but is very nice on the inside. I recommend dining in the evening, a few of the waitresses working wear kimonos. It adds to the authentic atmosphere.Also, upon your request, they have a Japanese style seating. Which I myself have not seen in another restaurant in SA
This is our best sushi place. The attention and the quality is the best for us. We always feel welcomed and te style is super unique. All servers wear kimonos and the sushi bar is always open for suggestions. They even have the Japanese sitting on the ground with pillows!
That atmosphere is nice. The food wasn't. Our waiter was wonderful. I ordered steak that was supposed to be thin cut. It was a fourth of an inch thick and tasted like it had been boiled in water. The steak was chewy and tasteless. But the price was expensive.
