I have to give this place 2 stars. I waited for a couple of hours for 2 dogs to get any upfront service. I eventually had to pay over $1K combined for services at this place without a breakdown of costs provided to me prior to payment associated for their treatment. They told me they would be treated in a couple of hours and I get there at least 2-1/2 hours later around midnight to pick them up and they tell me at that time that they were not treated yet for some lame excuse. I was totally upset that they didn't call me to let me know this, at least a courtesy call considering I just dropped over $1K. They finally called at 5:30 am that they were ready... really, on a Friday night after a long week at work. I have reported them to both the FTC and BBB for poor business practice! I suggested to the person up front at desk to at least be professional enough to notify owners in such cases... not sure if anything has changed since then. Nonetheless, take this as a warning and ask lots of questions as soon as you get there! Yes they are convenient because they are only one in a few vet clinics open 24 hours, but treat our pets with dignity, including us owners, since we obviously care enough to dish out lots of cash, if necessary, to have them treated in emergency situations!!!

I think the vets are very knowledgeable but it's too pricey . My cat needed a blood transfusion and monitoring for a few hours The bill was $1200 I found another vet that said the same treatment plan would be 400

My beloved beardie had an apparent stroke in my arms and I started CPR to save Big Al. After breathing was stabilized I called my vet and they were closed for the holiday. I am truly thankful that the Emergency Pet Clinic agreed to see Big Al seeing that they do not treat reptiles. They were quick to take Big Al to the back upon arrival. They were very compassionate and understanding how hard this was on me. They could no longer detect a heart rate and they offered to do CPR. I decided not to continue because I could not bare to see my pet suffer any more than he already had. They provided me options and allowed me time to spend in a private room with Big Al alone. They accepted my wishes and they never put me through any pressures to alter my decision. They were all professional and they did the best they could under the circumstances. I apologize for taking so long to thank you because I am still grieving over the loss of the greatest pet that I have ever owned. Thank you for putting my mind at peace so that I did not have to second guess myself. The veterinarian was very knowledgeable to warn me about salmonella poisoning after doing CPR on Big Al. For a pet clinic that does not treat reptiles do have quite a bit of knowledge about reptiles to be able to provide cautionary statements like that. I would trust this clinic with any animal.

My sister took her dog here yesterday because she was in labor and her deceased puppy was stuck inside her, they took her dog in the back and the vet said she would need a C-section. After finding out my sister could not afford the $2000 C-section the vet (Lauren Tully) put her in hard labor and after an hour of listening to her scream in pain she sent my sister and her dog, still in labor, home with the deceased puppy stuck inside her. The next morning my sister's regular get was open and he was appalled to hear what happened and what was discussed, he charged her $619 and simply gave the dog a shot to relax her muscles and was easily able to get the deceased puppy out of my sister's dog. This not only traumatized the dog but nearly killed her in the process.

I was away at a veterinary conference and my dog developed a red mark on the side of his head. I asked my brother to take him in to an ER to ensure it wasn't a contusion or any other potentially serious injury as I could not tell from pictures alone. My brother told the vet tech/assistant more than once that I was a veterinarian. The ER doctor, who I spoke with on the phone, seemed unaware of the fact that I am a veterinarian and was condescending. She declined to shave the spot to get a better look at it because according to her it would irritate the lesion further. She also said that my dog was not itchy so she thinks he rubbed his head on carpet (no carpet in my mom's house at all). This left me feeling a bit unsettled. The icing on top was that the front desk wanted to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper (I was trying to pay over the phone) "in case I contested the charges later." I don't think that's a great way to treat a member of your own profession, particularly if you expect referrals. Moreover, when I returned home I discovered that my dog must have been bitten by a flea (despite being on K9 Advantix) and was having an episode of flea allergy dermatitis. I had told them on the phone that he is allergic to flea saliva. He had excoriations in his armpits, under his chin, and beneath his tail. How someone missed this is beyond me but only adds to my level of dissatisfaction with the experience. As a veterinarian, I urge you to seek out a different ER if possible.
