like lambs to the slaughter wait for hours better not have to use restrooms judge says call your name twice if no answer your done. to back of line I quess. cops are smart asses. all their after is your money . make you feel like a criminal for a damn speeding ticket. that's why people hate the judicial system. treat people like sub humans.
Never heard of a courthouse that you cannot call to ask questions or to call to reschedule a court date in the event of an emergency or situation so that you don't have a warrant put out for your arrest! Whatever happened to public service?
Great place. If you're respectful, they will be extremely respectful back to you. People talking about 'extortion' and all that must not know how paying tickets works. You pay your ticket, and that's that, it's that way with every court house in the country. The only complaint i have is the parking payment. My most recent visit to this courthouse ended with me leaving and no progress made due to a mistake on another company's behalf, but I still had to pay the $4 parking fee, even when the court visit was pointless. If a $4 dollar parking fee is extortion, though, I guess i'm wrong.
Tldr, you may have to pay for a ticket, so have money ready, and have an extra $4 for parking. Respectful place, fair people.
No phone service, online payment is a mess. Got a ticket for allegedly parking past sunset at a running trail. Rather than question the ticket I figured I’d just pay the $35 and keep on with life. However no online record of my ticket using any of the search criteria, while attempting to pay it. There is no customer support even just to ask such questions; and the only other option is to personally visit the SA downtown court. You would think a city the size of San Antonio would have better systems in place to handle such issues
I live in Houston I was in San Antonio this summer a received a ticket for " smoking a cigarette in the park. Ive already driven to San Antonio once for a court date that was written on the ticket. Only to get there to be told that my ticket was not in the system yet. The officer didn't hesitate to write why is he hesitating to submit it? There is not any form of communication or ability to call and speak to a clerk without appear in court. i Have to drive from Houston to San Antonio. To ask a question? This is Ludacris. Absolutely outrageous.
