I had some (not all) of my recessed ceiling lights turning off by themselves in my high ceiling. These were installed by the builder. These recessed lights have a thermal switch that will automatically cut off if they get too hot. I did not exceed the wattage for the bulb. in fact, they were 40w less than the maximum. I even used a CFL light and they still continued to cut out after about 20 minutes. I heard about Good Electric and their reputation of correctly assessing electrical problems and doing the job right. When it comes to electrical, you don't want a electrical company that cuts corners just to save you a few dollars. I called figuring that they would have to replace the recessed lights and possibly the cans too; however, when the electrician arrived, he asked if I had tried an LED light. He gave me his cell number to call if it did not fix the issue. I did as he suggested and if fixed the problem. 2 other companies were going to replace the complete units at 100 dollars each... that would have been 700 dollars plus the sheet rock repair. The Good Electric electrician was honest, figured out a simple solution to my problem, and did not charge me a dime. However, because of his honesty, I will not hesitate to call on Good Electric for any future electrical work.
We had some communication issues, but Good did offer an apology, and all is well. We will give them another opportunity in the future. The work done was done well.
