Maybe they'll pay attention to you if you're white... maybe. Shoulda taken a pic of all the employees huddled up at the register cos it's not like they would have noticed and probably wouldn't care if I did. I understand that stores like these have a specific clientele that they cater to so I wasn't surprised when I got ignored since I'm a broke college student but I went with my parents who (not to offend) appear like a stereotypical Mexican family. My dad was being a little verbose in wanting to be romantico and buying my mom flowers so I'm genuinely shocked that not one employee came to assist my parents. Additionally, these flowers are way overpriced for HEB-quality flowers with a 1-2 day lifespan. My mom works at a nursery that works with a flower store so she knows her way around plants. Am I being bitter? Probably so, but if you're going to drop a lot of money for some pretty-only-for-a-day flowers, then I better get some decent service with it. Not even a welcome, but there sure was a goodbye cos they probably couldn't wait till the hispanics finally left.
