When we arrived at the funeral home for the viewing on Wednesday 11 May at 6:00 PM, we found that the wreath did NOT include the logo, but instead had a ribbon with our misspelled organizational name, and to add insult to injury, identified us a being from Houston instead of Killeen. The card had hand scratched instructions for the wreath, but did not even mention either the logo nor our name.
They neither responded to my message nor corrected the problem. On Thursday 12 May I called them around 9:15 when I arrived at the Funeral Home for the service, and found no action had been taken, but again, no response. I again sent them a message with copies of the logo and our communications, however we never received a call nor reply.
I believe they are appropriately named- The Last Straw! Chalk this incident up to poor service standards on their part, but I hope nobody else falls victim to this type of unresponsive, non-professional service, especially for such important occasions as a Funeral for a family member or close friend.
I did receive an electronic Invoice, showing payment in full.
On that same day, by electronic message, I asked for a picture of the finished wreath so I could send the picture to the Board of Directors- never got it!
I called these guys kinda late in the morning for Same day flower/Balloon delivery for my Wife's Birthday. They did an excellent job and even had them delivered before noon!
I immediately called them, but was unable to get an answer, since it was after 6:00 PM. I then sent them an electronic message expressing my displeasure with their failure to provide the product we agreed upon, and asked that they correct the mistake before the funeral at 10:00 AM the following morning, 12 May.
On Tuesday, 10 May I ordered a wreath from The Last Straw Florists in San Antonio for the funeral of a beloved member of our not-for-profit organization, located in Killeen, Texas. I negotiated with them to include an embedded picture of our logo in the center of a 22 inch wide wreath. We agreed on a price slightly over $200, which included a delivery charge by 6:00 PM on Wednesday, 11 May. We prepaid the full amount and they assured me they could make and deliver the wreath within 24 hours.
Today is Saturday, 14 May. It has been two days since the Funeral, we are back in Killeen, and I still have not been contacted by them for either an apology or some sort of explanation or excuse.
