And they're usually very reliable but today was a different story he basically dropped me off at the wrong address and I had to ride back using Lyft so thankful for Lyft
I got in the San Antonio version of the Cash Cab tonight. Larry, driver #530, had the most amazing van. He had the whole thing wired with party lights, 13 quality speakers, digital controls and a subwoofer that rattled by eardrums.
If I could give this service a negative star I would, I cannot fathom how many times I have been screwed by this company. I absolutely dislike using their services and they are extremely over priced. I waited for over 2 hours for a taxi that never came and when I called them and asked what happened to my taxi, they said I never booked on in the first place, and then when I booked a second one I waited over an hour for that one. Absolutely ridiculous.
The first guy was great. Nice clean car very polite and even waited for the end of the ride before asking for payment. The second guy? Horrible. Car smelled funny, very rude and abrupt, and wouldn't drive until I made a 35 dollar payment ahead of time for the ride. I would have given it 4 stars had it not been for the second driver. Beware an Indian man named Ray. Not a good driver.
Larry was a hoot, and you can tell he really enjoys his job. He cracked me up. Seriously, seek this guy out. It's totally worth it. He has some mad skills to be able to do all those upgrades, self-taught.
Very disappointed I had a trip I use the via subsidy program because I have a disability so I get a discount and told the operater the address to where I needed well the cab driver entered the wrong address he misspelled the name of the street I needed to be and I talked to the dispatch who was also very rude and she basically told me that they couldn't take me to the correct place even though it was the cab drivers fault
So often taxi service gets a bad rap. So it was refreshing to receive excellent service from Yellow Cab. Having used them before, my personal info was already in their data base. Called their office yesterday for a taxi to be dispatched to our house to pick up two passengers & luggage for transporting to San Antonio International Airport (SAT) this morning at 0600. Dispatcher called at 0555 & said a taxi would be outside our house in two minutes. Lo and behold it was there. The driver was friendly, courteous, & assisted in loading luggage into trunk. They left immediately to the airport. Confidence restored. No stress.
I can truly say that this was probably the most enjoyable cab ride I've ever had. Thanks for making my day!
