I enjoyed walking around outside and seeing the art of the water fountains! It was even more stunning at night! Well say if you have a wife or daughter they will love this place! Well admit the restaurant that used mesquite wood to cook did smell really good!!! But that's because I love the smell of mesquite!
I have lived in San Antonio almost all my life and this is by far the best mall in town. Don’t be scared of the fact that it’s outdoors! There is plenty of shade, seating and in a lot of places there are fans to cool off while you rest. If you’re headed to La Cantera make a day of it! There’s plenty of places to shop, eat and relax. I’ve never had a bad experience here, except maybe trying to find a parking space around holiday time!
Went for guys weekend. Had a great time. Lots of activities on-site or within a mile so didn't have to go far to have a good time. Very cool place to hang out with friends or for a weekend getaway with your significant other.
The Shops at La Cantera advertises mall gift cards that can be used at most of their stores and restaurants. They don’t sell them at the mall, you have to order online. What you actually end up ordering is a generic American Express gift card that can be used anywhere around the country. They also sock you for purchase and delivery charges of an additional $6.00 AND it takes about 10 days! Really??? I could have gone to any grocery store, drug store, etc & purchased a generic card, had it today, and not been charged additional BS fees! La Cantera must have a financial arrangement with AMEX for these bogus purchases. DON’T get suckered into buying a “mall gift card”!
There's tons of parking and tons of stores to choose from. The Barnes and Nobel here is huge, which is perfect, and the staff is very friendly. Kona Grill has amazing happy hour choices and is great for unwinding after work. Of course, you can find just about anything you're looking for here. It's expensive, but the quality is top- notch. There's an area where the kids can play if you want to wear them out, too.
If your looking for high end items this is the place for you! Crowded hard to find parking and not many interesting shops for a outdoors type of person! Yet will say this the art that is in the area and the outdoor style shopping experience was awesome!
