I recommend it to families with young kids. The animals will come up to your car windows and "accept" your food donations. Some stick their heads in your car and try to take the whole bag of food from you. Be careful though with animals with horns as they can scratch your car when they reach down to eat pellets near your car. You can take the self guided tour several times lake we did as there were times some animals were not active or interested in coming up to us for food.
90% of the animals have large areas to roam which makes it feel less zoo like, except the giraffes and lemurs have smaller enclosures. The giraffes at main entrance appear to have to walk around a rather small and very rocky enclosure 24-7. A pair of lemurs and a pair of monkeys are in a concrete caged enclosure with limited climbing features. These animals appear well cared for, but it just seems depressing to live your existence in a small cage. My experience was enjoyable but if those few things were changed the Safari park would be top notch.
Great place! This place is way better than a normal zoo! You get to see the animals up close and you get to feed them. The Emus are the best ones because they interact the most with people and get up close to the car. Sometimes you have to wait behind cars for a while but all is good. A wonderful place for any age.
So my favorite part was the entrance... It's the prairie like part with the antelopes. The rest was not as interactive. We did like stopping back by the giraffes for snacks. (Huge hill.) After that... There was a little interaction, but the best was the start. Two people can use one bag of food. Be prepared to wait at check-in to get in. The petting zoo was fun. Gift shop was expensive.
This is my second time visiting this place. In my first visit, I saw and fed many animals of different kinds. This time I went with family. I paid more than $60 for three people to see six different animals. I finished the entire drive in just 20mins. I went back to ask for refund but once you pay them money, it's gone! I didn't see any zebra, rhino and other animals even in the shade. They claimed that those animals were there but I don't think so. I recommend you all to call them in advance to confirm if they have all advertised animals out in the ranch before visiting this place.
