Wonderful zoo with lots of really cool animals and activities. Feeding nectar to the birds and brushing the goats were my son's favorite things to do. Spent 5 hours there and still could have stayed longer we were having such a good time. Don't forget to take the train ride through Breckenridge Park!
Staff are rude, uninformed and could not care less about you being there. We waited forever for the train--even after asking the employee stuck to his cell phone if it was coming-- the train was not even running. This was the level of helpfulness we came to expect throughout the day. We tried to get a drink for our 4 year old -- we could not find a lid or straw-- when we asked an employee for help, one said the park does not have any, one ignored us as she stared at her cell phone and one just walked away on her cell phone. Seeing the giraffes was cool and the lights were pretty good.
A small but very nice zoo. Lots of shade and a good variety of exhibits. I do wish there were better labels on some of the exhibits, especially in some of the indoor snake and reptile exhibits. I attended zoo lights in 2017, it was pretty nice and not too packed. Just make sure to go early since there can be long lines. I would definitely recommend the membership though, two visits pays for itself.
My favorite zoo I think. I really like all the fish in the various exhibits. The hippo exhibit is so fun to watch. The zoo employees are super friendly and they do a tremendous job keeping it clean. The bird exhibit where you can feed them sugar water is a great time for photos with your group. Great job. Free parking too!
All the animals were well cared for. Staff was polite. I especially liked the use of the natural terrain in the layout. The seasonal lighting was very well planned and totally worth going to see even if all the animals were asleep.
