Spacious store and friendly staff. They are super quick when buying your books too.
They also have an arrangement with Aspen's Brew coffee within the same outlet around the corner whereby you can get a discount on certain coffee sizes (I think it excludes their largest size) by presenting your Half-Priced Books receipt. Very sweet, fun deal (Aspen's is also a nice place to go read, so perfect pairing)!
Super friendly staff! I'm part of a bookclub now and for the last three books we've picked to read, they had a copy available of each! If you want to know if they have a book in stock, go to the front and give them the title and author. They'll check for you, and if there are two people overseeing the registers and they aren't super busy, they'll even walk you directly to the spot where the book is and help you find it. Only once did I have to go try to find it off of verbal directions due to the front only being watched by one person (but the directions were easy to follow, and the gentleman up front told me if I couldn't find it, he'd flag another employee working another area to help me find it).
The suggestion since they've remodeled is much smaller, but that could easily be a difference in reading taste between me and other shoppers.
As others said, don't expect much from reselling your book. I got a used book for $7.99 for my bookclub. Sold it back when we were done for 80 cents. Depends on how many they already have of that book and what the demand is. This was a fairly new book (came out 2015) that was a bestseller, so that can give you some idea of what to expect. But if you have a bunch of books you no longer want, bring in the whole pile and you might get enough to grab another few books :) Most people reselling bring boxes worth in.
Great books, cheap prices. Not good prices if you are selling, but it's to be expected. Friendly staff, large Light Novel and Anime section. Can't recommend enough besides the fact that they are a tad disorganized.
Very busy store with so much to offer. You may sign up for coupons and will receive them throughout the year. Very helpful, friendly staff. They have no problem helping one search for difficult to find books.
