The service is great, these guys are pros, they are honest and the prices are reasonable. I am excited to be moving but now sad that there's no Chad Miller in Phoenix! Guys! Time to open up a 2nd shop :)
I thought I had already written a review of this place, the service was so good I wanted to be sure to leave a positive review but I guess I did not. A couple of months ago my spouse used their services to prepare her car for a long road trip, and was short on time. The folks at CM rushed everything and took great care of her. Not only did they repair her AC and have an item custom-made for her (older model) Jeep Wrangler (and rushed it, to boot), but after she got to where she was going she received a phone call from Chad Miller checking in on her and the Jeep. That's service! Of course, the work they did was excellent and the Jeep is running great.
I immediately knew I wanted to work with Chad over the phone.
He had no idea that i was listening. He was just working. That is when I knew that he was a good mechanic and an even better person.
I decided to call Chad because he had so many positive reviews online.
There was one moment in particular that I knew I would always use Chad Miller for my car issues. Funny enough it had nothing to do with my car. I was sitting in the waiting room, and Chad had just got off the phone. One of the mechanics walked in holding a part. He said, "Chad, I have the blah blah part on the Toyota...What do you think, should I order another part or should I use this one?" Chad was smart because he asked more questions, "Is the part good still, is it safe, do we have a part here yet, is there another part that might work"? Etc. They determined that the part was in fact still a good part, then Chad said, "You know, this couple has fallen on some hard times and I promised them I would work with them whenever I could. Let's use that part, since it's good, there is no sense in charging them more."
He was kind, compassionate (I could tell that he was busy and that he had probably answered the same question about 500 times already, but still treated me excellent), and gave me a quote immediately on the phone. He was flexible with my on drop off time and even offered me a rental/pickup service. I chose him that same day. He did great work at a fair price, and he communicated with me throughout the entire process. The office itself is very nice and they were very thoughtful about crafting an excellent client experience. The staff was very kind, and there was something special about being there.
have used chad miller automotive twice now, and have had good experiences both times. i am informed in a timely manner of what is occurring with my vehicle and what the cost is. chad and the staff have always been pleasant in person and on the phone. on last occasion, after quoting me a price, and beginning the work, i was informed that it was not was expected and they only fixed what was wrong. the price quote came down significantly after they found out what the real problem was. this is a local, honestly run business, that is pleasant to work with and charges a fair price for the work done
One of the best experiences I have had with a car shop. The service was quick and I was kept up to date with texts and images of the problem. Service was very transparent and affordable. I will definitely use them again and actually gave business cards to my friends! The waiting area is nice and clean and has WiFi.
My AC went out in the summer time and I was very disappointed because I received 3 different estimates and got there different answers and prices. I got estimates for as low as $110 up to $1,700...it made me feel like some people were trying to price gauge.
I am making the same drive out (we are moving) and so decided to schedule an appointment with CM to get my car ready for the trip, also. Very friendly/professional, and even remembered my wife and inquired about her. After they did their inspection, I received a text message with a link to a very slick on-line report of everything they checked. The only thing noted on my car was that it's due for an oil change, and the tire pressure was low. I mention this because I know it's hard to find an honest mechanic - especially if you're a woman - they could have put anything on this report but all they reported was the work that truly needs to be done. The tire pressure light was on and I knew it was due for an oil change.
Made my appointment three days in advance even arrived about 10-15 early. I was quoted a 45 minute service time that turned into twice as long just for an oil change. They broke my oil cap and tell me they have to get the part delivered should only take 15 minutes for it to arrive. Fine I didn't mind at all. Well that 15 minutes turned into 30 minutes. The guy finally arrives with the part so I thought but no turns out he brought the wrong part. He leaves and I wait for another 20 minutes for him to return. Then someone comes out from the back and says they just so happened to find the right part..... I sat there for over hour waiting on a part to be delivered that they had the whole time!!! So unprofessional and not a single employee apologized for the unnecessary wait time. Better off going to Firestone. LESSON LEARNED!
