This law firm is extremely unprofessional and deceiving. I spoke with the paralegal Kathleen and she told me one thing and then came back and told me another. I wanted them to represent me in my divorce and off the back I should have known something was wrong because I never spoke to the actual attorney. All my dealings were with the paralegal. I asked about a payment plan and a deposit because I was in a tough situation. I specifically asked how much I would need to put down and what kinda of payments i needed to make. Well Kathleen told me "whatever I could afford to put down and pay in installments". After sending her the signed contract and how much I was going to deposit she reaponded that the attorney wanted atleast half of the retainer fee. This was after she had already said it was whatever I could afford. So then I told her I would gather up the money and contact them when I did, but that I would also see if any other lawfirm could help me out. After I got the money together and contacted her she ignored my phone calls and emails for 2 days. Finally she responded that they were not in the office and that she believed I was going with someone else. After all this still not a single peep from the actual attorney. The whole time she also told me that they were friends with my wife's attorney and that she was confident we could work it out without going to court. After this all happened I was speaking with my wife and she tells me that she knew I had money issues because that is why I did not go with the orginal divorce lawyer that knew her lawyer. My jaw dropped I could not believe they went ahead and divulged that information to anyone so much for confidentiality. Do not bother with these people go somewhere else where your privacy will be respected and their verbal agreements have some merit.

The moment I spoke to Kathleen I felt a sense of ease and comfort and decided to roll the dice and hire Dave Parent as my attorney. When I did meet Dave, I also felt a sense of trust and relief in handing over the ultimate fate of my lingering divorce and custody issues. Kathleen kept in contact with me EVERY step of the way and even went above and beyond in answering my questions or addressing my concerns after 5:00 pm when every other attorney office is shut down and unresponsive. After spending some time with Dave, I grew to really like him as a person, not just an attorney. It became very apparent to me that he is well respected and very liked in the downtown San Antonio Courthouse. I would HIGHLY recommend Parent Law Firm, you won't be able to find a better pair than Kathleen (Paralegal) and Dave Parent. I rolled the dice in the beginning, not knowing the first thing or person to call to help with my divorce and truly feel like I hit the jackpot with them! I appreciate these two more than they will ever know!!
