At times i have found more pride stuff for marines at the commissary than for navy (Funny cause there are very few marines, while the whole medical training naval corps are here).
The joint base idea is great. I have come to learn that army and airforce are amazing people who are very unique... sadly we have come to the conclusion that whiskeys are their own army who fail to perceive there are other medical branches than their own.
The sign outside that says: "Welcome to Fort Sam Houston Joint Base, Army Base" (I don't get it, is it joint? or is it army?)
Quick motivational fix?Just add more Navy and AF stuff to the "medic museum" so we can rejoice in the pride of our branches as well.
I just wish I could see more corpsman stuff (like the museums and honors we had at our previous location). We are supposed to be a very unique and proud subdivision from the Navy. And why not, AF as well.
Nice clean fully functioning library on the Army installation of Fort Sam Houston. You will need some form of military affiliation to Utilize this facility. They have a computer room, family friendly activity days, video, reading area and music rental. This location-has a lot of military students who frequent it as well.
It's a library. Too far for us in Schertz. But great if you are a car-less trainee needing a cool quiet place to hang out in.
They even look down on their own branch counterparts.This just makes a somewhat tense environment among branches. (You have to listen to the morning cadences and how Navy and Army call out on each other).
Buildings are beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Most Army and AF are very nice and proud.
