Came here to study. I was Not greeted at the door, I was Not asked if I needed help. Not only were the employees treating the library as a gossip hub, but allowed children to play hide and seek, jumping from computer to computer. People on the phone having personal converstations with it on speaker. Multiple groups in the library, range of ages, all were loudly talking. The echo in this building is terrible. I think if there were private study rooms/areas I MIGHT decide to come back. As of now, this library is treated as a middle school used to gossip, play, and run around in. DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!

Mr. Carlos is a very courteous Librarian and displays true professionalism. If you ever go to Collins Gardens Public Library and you need help or have a question to your needs, go to Mr. Carlos (Librarian). He won't lead you wrong.

Favorite place from childhood to adulthood

Excellent customer service. Staff is always willing to help out with a smile. Wonderful with children.

Collins Gardens Library is my go to Public Library in all of San Antonio.

Nice and clean Library. Mr. Carlos the Librarian that has his desk in the far back right of the Library is a very helpful person. The times that I have been to Collins Gardens Library, Mr. Carlos has always helped me with superior/excellent customer service.

I enjoy coming to this library and its location is quite convienant. But I have an issue with one of the staff members, I do not know her name but she works at the help desk in the back of the library and has short reddish hair. When the children are there naturally they will talk among themselves and I do not like the way she handles the children. Instead of telling the children politey to quiet down she would raise her voice teling them to be quiet or she will kick them out. It's shocking to me to see this because the other workers do not treat the children that way and today she had raised her voice, pratically shouting, at the children and kicked one of them out for "jumping around" and she kicked his sister out as well and she was not even near the group of kids, she was alone reading and the staff member told the children that they cannot back until monday. It is quite hypocritical of her to behave this way she is a bully to the children and I witnessed this mysef, there are adults with their cellphones ringing quite loudly and speaking it loudly as well distracting me from my studies and she does not very much and if she does, she politey asks them to lower their voice. Between the children talking and her shouting she is much more distracting then they are and I hope this review is viewed from the library so they can do something about it.
