Seems like it would be a great place to spend the day—it's closed for renovation until September, though, which I didn't know until I drove all the way down there and saw the signs. Can't wait for it to open back up, though!

The library has about everything any other library has but being at this location does make you feel is visit this library.
Scenic grounds and library building. We came here for the toddler playground which happens to be one of the better public toddler playgrounds in San Antonio.
Around the back of the library is a play area for kids and families to let they're kids play or couples picnic and enjoy the scenic view.
There "ARE" no libraries like this in Houston! Just the building alone it won me over and the inside is mouth dropping. It's so beautiful and says so much about the history in San Antonio had and has.
Clean and inviting. A very relaxing place to a book. Great staff and nice playground next to it.
Really cool old building. The layout is a bit funky for a library (it was a mansion), i think it's neat though. There are alot of little hidden corners to read or study. Or you can go outside to the grounds, which have an abundance of shady live oaks. The playground is one of the best in SA.
