Recently my wife was traveling through Castle Hills when her vehicle was struck by another motorist. Castle Hills PD responded to the call and handled the crash report. I was surprised that the responding Officer allowed the other unlicensed and uninsured motorist to drive away from the location instead of impounding the vehicle and did not issue a citation to the other driver. This puts the city at risk if the other motorist proceeds down the road and causes another crash. Needless to say the other party now refuses to pay and since the vehicle was not impounded they walk away from this incident scott free. Is this the standard practice in Castle Hills ?

The police I've met that operate in Castle Hills genuinely seem to just be doing their job, and respond incredibly politely when told the truth and not given the run-around. Respect these officers a lot.
