Food was excellent! The service could have been better.. second time we get the same waitress. Never asked if we needed refills... waited long to order.. asked long for our food and even longer to pay!
This is one spot we have to hit when we are back in San Antonio. The staff is great, but don't be afraid to wave them down. The food is consistently great.
Grrrrrrreat, food. And so on and so forth. Loved it, everyone should eat there. It would make the world a much more happy and friendly place. Could we get Mr. Trump and that crazy guy with a bowl hair cut from North Korea to eat there I bet we could achieve ☮️.
Good old fashioned Tex Mex restaurant. Neighborhood institution. Still has a lunch counter. Often crowded at peak times. Always fast. Always good but remember to cooperate with everyone else waiting to be seated so you know who's next. A bit noisy at peak times also. Some of that comes from the wait staff hollering their orders through the kitchen service windows in Spanglish.
An all time favorite of mine since I was a little kid. The best cheese enchiladas I have ever had. Flour tortillas range from good to great depending on the day. Tender tasty guisada, above average crispy beef tacos, solid chicken fajitas(they go well with the cheese enchiladas, and yes there's a plate for that). Good daily specials and some good deluxe plates for heartier appetites. This is my go to place when I'm around the area.
