Great great food. But my orders are always wrong. I get fries instead of rice often, not sure why, and tonight they just straight up ignored 4 tacos from the order all together.
Like I said food is great, regardless if they give you what you actually ask for.
I love their food here, but of all the Las Balitos taco shops! This is my absolute least favorite. It's the closest to my house. Whenever I come here my husband and I attempt to order our food through the drive thru. And every time, the drive thru attendant speaks little to no English. We then have to use our best attempt to communicate with the person in broken Spanish. I totally get that she should be able to work the drive thru. But at the same time, think of how much businesss you could be losing by someone who can't mumble their way through their burrito order. Thank God I took Spanish in 7th grade to learn my meats and veggies or I too would be screwed. Even then, we go back and forth with the lady who still butchers our order. ( if she doesn't understand English, I feel she should at least call a bilingual person Up to the drive thru to translate. Same as you would do if you only spoke English and a customer was fluent only in Spanish) I realize this is San Antonio, but damn...
Enjoyed that it was open late. Carne guisada was a bit to red for me. Strong spice.
an unexpected place to find a food of such good quality. My wife and I went without much pretension just because the place was full. Right from the start we really enjoyed the salsa bar. We ordered a meat quesadilla which was fantastic, maybe one of the best I've ever had with my life
I had a bad experience here before but got suckered in by a 3 tacos for $2.99 special and a huge appetite. Sure enough it was hugely disappointing. All tacos had to be the same so I ordered chorizo and egg. Right away I knew they were gross as they even smelled overcooked. The chorizo had way too many pieces of sinewy ligament making for an awful eating experience. The tortillas could not save the day either. Second time, last time.
