I We got my wedding cake from Sugar Hill Bakery and it was a complete disaster. The cake was the wrong color, the design was not what we chose, and it looked like it was going to fall. I have to admit that the cake tasted good, but it was probably the ugliest wedding cake I have ever seen.
Ordered a wedding and groom's cake from Sugar Hill Bakery. The wedding cake looked okay, but the grooms cake looked like it had been thrown together last minute. Frosting dripped from the sides, lines of frosting broken completely and crooked! Fondant roses looked like play dough cinnamon rolls. Also, we paid for components to the cake that were not there when it was delivered!
Neither cake tasted good. In fact, they both tasted as if they had been frozen or dried out with an inch of shortening frosting pasted around the sides. I guess the pics posted on their website is what the cakes look like on a really good day because our groom's cake looked nothing like those! Word of advice: If you are using Sugar Hill, the simpler the better. If you add interesting design elements, you will most likely be disappointed.
