I always go and everyone is so helpful, but today their librarian Pat was very rude saying she couldn't give me a new card or renew my account because I owed money. I did not have the cash with me for the fees but really needed to print some paperwork. So all she did was give me my expired library card number. A few minutes later after i failed to log into the computer i asked someone else for help and they were very friendly and helped me get a new card renew my account and print, everything the other lady said I couldn't do. Overall my only complaint.

Everyone is very helpful good place to relax and read a book....

Two ladies using computer #3 kept looking up/at me [indicating how awful the boy was behaving]...I overheard the mother say to her daughter..."lets just go to the Mission library"-they left. I had hoped ROMEO would say something as he had assisted the parent w/something--THERE IS NO DENYING HE HAD TO HAVE HEARD HOW THE BOY WAS YELLING WHILE RUNNING AROUND ALL OVER. Once I too had enough/decided to also leave, I went up to Romeo to voice my concern. He was speaking w/a women--I stood behind her [awaiting my turn], only because he acknowledged me did I move forward and told him of my displeasure w/how no one addressed the boy's constant disruptive behavior. I have witnessed many times how the main librarian will nicely tell a child to behave/lets the parents know to have their children behave. Having said that, I left.

Place is legit, people are good, & I only live 900 feet away so life is good!

Today, I approached Romeo regarding the incident--with no intent other than to let him know I had hoped there was some sort of policy regarding conduct in the library. He immediately informed me that I had embarrassed him because he was on the phone & speaking w/a patron. I told him I wasn't aware--he acknowledged my presence. And, that I was disappointed at how no one did anything and inclined to make a complaint. Romeo made a face and went on to state "I'm not going to argue w/you!". My response was "I'm not arguing w/you..I was simply stating that there should be a policy and I NOW WOULD MAKE A REPORT. He again stated 'I'm not going to argue--do what you want". I said I would and started walking towards computer area. He still kept talking saying "do what you want--don't ever ask me for help--don't ever ask me to help w/any questions regarding job interviews!". How very RUDE and unprofessional!! I cannot help but believe he became so defensive because he knows he could have and should have handled the disruptive situation in an appropriate manner w/the boy's parent instead of ignoring it.

On Thursday [Nov 16th] around 2 pm, while using a computer [preparing to take employer related test], a woman w/a small child came in and she sat next to me on # 16. From the very start her child [about 4/5 yrs of age] began talking loudly> that he wanted a book, then he wanted water, he kept RUNNING back and forth throughout the children's area, up to the front desk and the computer area where his mother was. All she ever did was LOUDLY say 'MASON BEHAVE/MASON STOP/WAIT'. He was so very disruptive, yet, NOT one of the employees ever said anything to the parent nor to the boy about his conduct. He even dragged a chair in front of the part-time employee to keep talking w/her. He started jumping on/off the chair, continually yelling out for his mother to go up front and check out the books he wanted. The parent only yelled back to him.

The Librarians are always friendly and helpful with any questions you may have.
