My kids and I came in for the first time yesterday to get a birth certificate. From the time we entered i fell in love! Every one was so welcoming. The Officer even offered his help and sat with me to fill out the form. With 3 kiddos (5, 2, and 1) they were able to be their self's although I didn't have them running around and screaming, there was never the feel of having to keep them 100% silent. They even had a healthy lunch that my kids enjoyed as well as the books and play area. We will definitely be back! (Today
This library is a joke. This is listed as one of the locations to obtain a birth certificate. I called three times to verify that they are able to print one out for me. I spoke with two different ladies who said they were able to. When they finally opened up the guy at the front desk said they couldn't print one out. He had no explanation as to why they weren't able to. The lady I spoke with was rude, the guy at the front desk was rude as well as the manager I was referred to. To all the people with a newborn baby trying to get a birth certificate do yourself a favor and just go to the downtown location. It will save you time and your sanity.
Nice and quiet. Not too large. Very helpful librarians. Newer branch libraries are more popular. I also get the sense of being rushed. The novelty of being new I guess. Where this one along with other smaller mostly older branches have a feeling of being welcome. Like it's my library, everyone's library. *Accept during elections etc. Of course.
What kind of library have no fax machine? Overall the sweet lady was very polite and did at least mentioned it was coming soon.
