Not very organized.
I waited 17 days for a pool table that I had ordered online. Even though the paperwork clearly stated that they needed to leave the pool table in the first dry room, they actually argued with my wife and said they were going to leave it in the garage. They also DROPPED the pool table while taking it out of the truck from about waist height. Now I have to deal with getting a refund from Sam's Club or EDC to repair but of course, EDC is closed on weekends! When I have a replacement shipped to me, I pray that they aren't contracted to do the delivery again!
People are rude. Take forever
After reading reviews we were concerned about our move that was scheduled with EDC. We could not have been more pleased. Good communication with Vicky in office. Patty arrived for pre-move inspection on time. Dona and Steph did the packing in one day! Loaders---David, Rick, Kevin, and Stephen were on time. All were very polite and seemed to know that having "strangers" in our home to move us isn't a lot of fun, but they made it as good of a day as possible. Took the time to wrap and pad our furniture well. Didn't bang up the walls or leave a mess! Bo, the driver, was a nice guy to visit with, and has husky named Lucky that's big as a horse! We try to treat our movers with respect, and we fortunately manage to get the same in return. A fine experience!
Normally pretty good about expedited delivery if we need it, but the drivers need to find a new line of work. They don't want to fulfill the duties they signed up for. We requested uncrated delivery to 2 separate apartments, which is clearly marked on the paperwork, and they decided to leave 2 full kitchen sets outside our shop instead saying "the paper doesn't say to take them to the units". When I called EDC, I was told "if you don't put them on separate orders, they won't send them to separate units". Well FIRST that should've been explained to me when I placed the order and SECOND they didn't even try to take them to the 1st apartment listed! But regardless, the instructions were clear as day on the delivery papers! This hasn't been the first incident like this with them either -- I've had this issue at 2 other properties as well. Sad we're stuck in a contract with GE, who partners with EDC.
