Sapo has just informed me that illegal immigrants can commit violent and non-violent crimes on the citizens of San Antonio. As long as they don't commit any crimes against the city, they're not going to do anything about it.
As officer tells me: if an Illegal immigrant causes physical harm to a loved one, they're released. If the illegal immigrant is out wandering around the police will give them a ride back home even if it's "an hour away because we don't want to risk being sued if something happens to them"
We need a police presence in our neighborhoods also not just on the main streets writing tickets. Our cars and homes are being broken into and the criminals know the cops aren't around and if someone calls it takes them to long to respond. We need them to do what they proclaim on their squad cars. TO SERVE AND PROTECT. Quit doing the easy work and take a proactive approach to crimes. Responding to take a report any pencil pusher can do.
Weight issue for all SAPD departments. There's also been a huge morality issue. Married SAPD sleeping together on the job in police vehices, to include DA Denise Hairston. Some officers have been reprimanded but officer Veronica Sanchez continues to sleep with married officers even while they're in uniform then has play dates between the kids--recipe for SAPD drama.
Hey guys but no offense I think the fact that rivercenter side sapd doing all the public outreach that they do deserves a little a little bit better than a 2.6 how many police dept. Would go greet people at the bus stop at commerce and say hi to people they don't even know. Or have such a desire to serve that they don't even make u wait a second to find them at their station. Why I give this a 5.0 in spite of the fact that I don't live on that side of town. I know cops and I truly know that sapd are a rare groups of cops indeed. Please stay safe guys.
