It does feel like you are on top of each other there, but the fulltimers are a blast to chat with.
Its more like a pet resort. There are DOGS every where! It looks nice from far away, but when you get close there is dog poop everywhere. Where there is dog poop there is dog poop SMELL. We were walking the long way to the heated pool which by the way is not really heated when we smelled something horrible. There were 3 dead dogs half buried with painted rocks for head stones. Then this guy with a beer belly and no shirt got out of his lawn chair. He stopped me to inform me that he had lost 2 dogs to parvo. and hopes he doesn't lose any more and that the guy on row 100 lost a pit bull and a doberman pincher as well. He thinks to parvo. The final straw was the naked homeless couple that were washing up in the bath house that live under the bridge by the RV park there is a colony of them under there. WE GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only negative for me was all the dead stuffed wildlife in the reception building.
4). They have free coffee, but it is generally out... good luck getting a staff member to make a fresh pot... they don't want to be inconvenienced.
Awesome place to stay! site 205 is not meant for a 45-foot rig. you have to back out of it, the trees are in the way, otherwise it's a beautiful place and highly recommended
Such a cute, well kept, friendly (and pet friendly) place.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. You can package up garbage in a beautiful box adorned with ribbons and bows, but it's still garbage anyway you look at it.
7). So to sum up, they gouged two combat disabled Veterans, on Veterans day weekend none-the-less, and then made it painfully obvious that our patronage was an inconvenience.
1). Luxury RV park, but it doesn't take AMEX.
3). The WiFi doesn't work very often, and when it does... it reminds me of the 4800 bit dial up from the 1990s.
5). This place is not kid friendly, or at least the staff doesn't seem to like children. Posted pool hours are 9am to 9pm, but by 8:45 there is a pool nazi who likes to close up early and takes no issue with yelling at kids to get out of his pool.
2). We paid extra for a "premium" spot, which by all accounts was one spot within a jam packed sardine can.
Office staff is exceptional. They helped us find a good spot for our RV. Be warned there are a lot of trees, some people's slides were touching.
We would stop back in temporary. It makes it difficult to get in on one way roads and no turn lane to get in. Keep your eye out it isn't marked well.
6). If you have more than 5 people in your group, they charge extra per person to get the privilege to stay at this Dachau style camp. Yes, that is right... apparently they do this as a means to dissuade families from crashing their desert oasis.
