I visited this office for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I had a great experience. The front desk was very kind and helpful. I showed up early and had my paperwork ready so I didn't have any issues with wait time. Dr. Sparks has a very gentle demeanor and listened to me like she really cared. I was on the market for a primary care doctor and I am grateful that I found her. I'll definitely be going again in the future.

I have seen dr sparks for over 10 years but am no longer seeing her due to the fact That her husband is the office mgr now and has absolutely NO manners or sense of compassion for patients. It's a shame such a sweet woman is with such an abrasive goon that knows nothing about running an office but sure does run his mouth

I am a 30 yr old woman and I have gone to Dr. Vicky Sparks office 4 times. Each time I had a negative experience. I am new to the area and don’t like going to the doctor’s anyway I just have used them in the past to get the medication I needed prescribed to me for, UTI’s and Panic attacks etc in the past.

Just got out the ER and booked this appointment yesterday based on good faith, the receptionist over the phone Robert seemed to have everything together, and emailed me the new patient form which was when I found out he scheduled me for March 28 at 3:15 an entire month from the Thursday March 2nd at 1pm we originally scheduled. After sending an email to inquire about this my email was failed to be answered which I was told they rarely check emails. The first receptionist I spoke to barely spoke English and kept repeating "What you say" and put me on hold to "search" for my appt only to hear her talking on her cell phone telling someone she's not off yet. After asking me to spell my name for the 4th time, I asked to speak to Robert the guy that booked my appt the yesterday. When i asked him about the appt scheduling mistake he stated that he got it confused with someone else's block form and I was scheduled March 9th. This was a shocker to me that he my appt when from being scheduled Thursday March 2nd at 1pm to March 28th at 3:15pm in the email to March 9th. I understand that things happen, however with the 30 minute phone call he and I had yesterday my appt was to be Thursday March 2nd at 1pm which now no longer exists and his excuse is that "did I think I was going to call a dr's office and get an appt so quickly?" What kind of rude response is that? Especially when he was the one to tell me she had openings March 1st and 10:30 and the morning of March 2nd I requested an afternoon time around noon or 1pm March 2nd and was confirmed by him that I have that appt. I believe what happened is that the receptionists and I hope these two aren't medical assistants had gotten distracted and or have issues multi-tasking. Now with my health being in emergent status I am hugely inconvenienced in having to find another Dr who has office staff who are more organized and more professional than this one. If the office staff doesn't have it together, then how could the very person who owns the office have it together either?

When I first came to her office I told her exactly what I needed, they decided that I should try something else. I did and it was a disaster, So I went back and told about the bad experience, so she thought instead of listening to me and my needs to prescribe me another thing. When that did not work, she said and I quote “I should try exercising more, maybe yoga.” (let it be known I am not overweight, I am a vegetarian and eat pretty darn healthy, I should exercise a little more, but shouldn’t we all)

If you are planning to see Dr Vicky Sparks. Please at least read the following:

I said “Dr. Sparks Please sit with what I’m saying to you.” I wanted her to understand what she was putting someone through. Who knows if it sank in, I have never EVER in my 30 years have had a problem with a GP. It is a good learning experience.

“MY RESPONSIBILITY TO BE MY OWN ADVOCATE”. ( I understand that but for her to professionally disagree and not provide me with what I needed, every time I have told her something that I knew and was right for me.)

She looked in my throat and said she saw nothing it was probably phlegm and I swallowed it. I responded telling her my husband and I both saw it and I looked at it right before I came. She again goes phlegm is normal its fine.

I said, no it isn’t phlegm please look again. She did but then quickly said oh yes that’s an ulcer those are painful, what do you want an anti-biotic for it.

My experience:

I started experiencing terrible allergies so bad my face would swell if I didn’t take 3 24 hr Zyrtec. I started getting an ulcer in the back of my throat that was extremely painful. So, after 10 days of this I went to her.

I replied no, I want relief from my allergies that are causing it. She said to continue taking what I’m taking and use eye drops. I asked her were 3 24 hr Zyrtec a day good for my health. She goes oh no. what do you want a z-pac or v pac, I don’t know the name. Me not knowing what that is just hoping that it would be something to help said yes. She didn’t explain that it was a steroid (which I am glad I got actually grateful for because it did give me some relief I just belief a doctor should educate a patient on what’s going on).

So she prescribed it to me. And was like . “okay.” Like we were all done. I said should I get tested for allergies so I can fix the problem. She goes “Oh we don’t do that here.”. I said okay, um can you give me a referral. She said I’ll text you the Dr.’s name. NO REFERRAL just a text. Wow. That’s when I felt to have the above “come to jesus” moment.

GREAT with dealing with Vitamins, supplements and hormones,GREAT HELPING WITH WEIGHT LOSS, Listens, takes her time to help you

I know I shouldn’t have seen her after my first experience, but I really thought that instead of writing reviews for her I should tell her face to face about my experiences. Below I outlined my experiences with her. On my 4th visit it all came to a head, So when I told her about my first 3 visits she responded “Well you don’t need to see me as your general Practitioner.” I explained to her how expensive it is to see her 300 a month for my husband and I to have health insurance, and $50 dollars a pop to see her, so to get a new doctor I’m going to have to spend at least $100 to get established. She then asked me if I felt that way today. I reminded her of how she dismissed my throat issues and was not thorough (please read below for details of that experience). She kind of just nodded and was quick to say okay okay okay. Very Dismissive telling me that it was:
