If you would like a somewhat pleasant doctor that listens to you, do not see Dr. Delgado. In the short 4 minutes that she was in the room, I could barely get a word in edgewise and she was downright rude. She skipped over my questions and concerns and acted like I was wasting her precious time. The only reason I went to see her was because I needed the first available appointment. Big mistake. I should have researched who I was seeing first. I'm definitely going somewhere else next time.
As someone else stated, if I could rate this a 0, I would. I was scheduled for a 620pm appointment to see Dr. Almendarez on 8 Nov; the weather was horrible and traffic was horrendous but I received a call from the office around 533pm just to make sure I was okay and still coming. The representative on the phone told me I was fine and just to call back if I didn't think I'd make it on time or got held up in traffic. She didn't inform me that the office actually CLOSED at 530pm and that if I called back, I would get NO ONE on the phone. It's about 614pm and I finally make it to Floyd Curl Dr, so I called, but of course, no one answered. I made it to the building at 621pm and to the office at about 624pm. There was NO ONE at the desk, the lights were cut off, and the doors were locked. WHY ON EARTH would you schedule someone for a 620pm appointment when the office closes at 530pm. Not ONE person called to tell me they were leaving and couldn't wait any longer. I called and spoke to an operator (Lucy) who was supposed to message the doctor. Here we are almost 24 hours later, and I still haven't heard back from the office regarding either a "missed" appointment or the message I left earlier for someone to explain the situation. I will GLADLY find another doctor's office. Horrible customer service!!!
This office is horrible! This is my FOURTH pregnancy and I literally died with my first, yet this is the worst experience! They will quickly take your money and then not refund when they can't provide services. I was with them in 2016 for the first few months of this pregnancy. 2017, I got a new insurance. The doctor I was seeing, Dr. Dooley, is covered under my insurance but his delivering hospital is not. When I decided in January 2017 I would just get a new doctor that delivered at an in network hospital, the office manager Barbra assured me that Methodist would accept my insurance and I could stay with my doctor, whom I liked well enough. I paid over $2800 that very day, to the office upfront for delivery cost for a repeat C-section. A few weeks later in February I was told that I couldn't deliver at Methodist and I would need to switch doctors. I was upset but decided to call my insurance and try to get a waiver. The insurance requested the doctor send his notes stating that I was a high risk for having 3+ c sections so they could approve the out of network hospital and I could continue care with Dr. Dooley. Dr. Dooley's office told me flat out "No, we won't send them any notes"'! What!??? They have an ethical obligation to do so! But they did not. So, I am now almost 30 weeks pregnant, have no doctor, they took my $2800 and said whatever is left over after they bill insurance for my 2 office visits, they'll send me. It's ridiculous!! They're the WORST! Medical care is already mediocre in SA, but the HORRIBLE STAFF AND CUSTOMER CARE does not help this practice at all! Trust, as a fourth time mom that has delivered in FL, AZ, and TX, office staff REALLY matters. They didn't give me my test results for anything, don't give you appointment reminder text messages or courtesy calls, and treat you like you're just money! It's pathetic. RUN THE OTHER WAY!
If I could leave no stars I would. Kathryn in billing is very rude and does not want to do her job and help us process this claim. My wife has been on the phone with her and tricare all afternoon. Tricare gave Kathryn wrong information at first so we understand that. After my wife called tricare 3 times and talked to 2 different team leads my wife confirmed that tricare was very sorry they gave the wrong information, they updated the system, and when Kathryn calls back to attempt the claim the right information would be provided. Kathryn said "no I need them to call me" after my wife has been playing telephone between the two for hours. Well we are sorry, Tricare doesnt make office calls. My wife has been overly nice to her and apologetic for the confusion that isnt even her fault. All we have received from Kathryn is sighs, complaints, and excuses.
The doctors and nurses are ok, long waits, however billing is a nightmare. Anytime you call is an absolute nightmare. They are rude and down right unprofessional. They need training on insurances and how to submit claims. I have two insurances so it gets tricky but I am patient and willing to help them through and call my insurance company for them to help out. However, they are not helpful at all, didnt charge both insurances and I paid the copay, couldnt get my medication claim sent through and wouldnt put in the effort to change the codes and re submit the claim. Going to another office that knows a little about coding and insurance claims.
