Not The Place it Used To Be.
Of course it wasn't their fault that he died. I could've drop the $700. But here's the thing: if they had been operating in interest of the animal, I would've gotten something like, 'this is a very serious condition and he's in imminent danger. you really need to reconsider.' or 'let us do the bare minimum to keep him alive.' Instead we were left with a shrug and a sigh.
Won't be returning.
Friendly staff. Exotic specialist saw my chinchilla. Quickly and accurately made a diagnosis. Service fees are fair, I've been to other places that want an arm and a leg for a visit. And they offer military discount!

This time it felt very much like a car dealership, with the nurse (??) playing intermediary with the doctor and us. She came out with a quote, and went back to check with her manager - I mean doctor - when we indicated we couldn't pay the $700 they were asking to treat a heart murmer. The sales person - I mean nurse - returned with a shake to her head, there was no wiggle room. We left and my dog died in a week.
