In addition to the normal charges they charge a fee to write a prescription so that you'll fill it there instead of taking it elsewhere to fill cheaper.
Long wait, but the staff was nice. Dr Slone was wonderful and I appreciated them all staying late for us to be seen.

I have been going to Alamo Dog & Cat Hospital for 10+ Years with all my dogs. I was severely disappointed on Friday my mother took my Shih Tzu to get groomed, he was completely shaved from head to tail, no hair left at all. However, what shocked me the most is the way my mother was treated. While she was trying to talk to the lady that was supposed to work on my dog she specifically said "Please do not shave my dog completely." Even the secretary heard her say that. This lady, Cynthia Elieen, ignored my mom and even had the audacity to forcibly drag my dog inside. She did not attempt to walk him inside gently or pick him up and take him in. My dog has never been treated that way and I would hate to imagine what goes on behind closed doors if that's how the pets are treated in front of customers. This cut was not cheap either at $170.00 and was not at all worth what I could have done myself at home. The staff at Alamo Dog & Cat made not attempt to make the situation better.
Refused to wrote a script at all for flea medicine for my dog after $280 worth of other services and exams, and their rate was over $20 more than competition for same product. Just a scam to keep you in house where they can charge way over cost.
Go somewhere else.
Extremely friendly staff, clean, professional, no appointment needed, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
