I had my baby here in July. I had no problems with the doctors, nurses or the care I received. I feel like I received great care here. However the billing department is terrible. They gave out my insurance information to several providers for other babies that were born during my stay. I am in an insurance nightmare because of this. The names were not similar at all either. It looks like they just assumed that I had all of the baby boys born on that day in the hospital...
Doctors Nurses and the rest of the auxiliary staff deserve a 5 star plus. The only gripe I have is my family member had major surgery...and the parking garage charged me an amount that really irritated me. I felt like I was held hostage...no choice but to pay ransom to get out of the gate. Really irritated me. They are getting many thousands of dollars for the operation, and then they charge you an uprecedented amount to get out of the gate. Good grief. As stated previously. The staff deserves 5 star plus.
This hospital has really gone downhill. I took my mother to the ER on Saturday NOONE was in the ER NOONE for a FULL 10 minutes. Overall the hospital was dirty. Trash was on the floor. Trash cans were over running. I had to go to four separate bathrooms before I finally found one with toliet paper-BATHROOMS NOT STALLS. I never leave reviews, but this is uncalled for. I love Methodist hospitals, what happened? It's very sad.
Doctors, nurses & staff are very nice, helpful, comforting, food is good, cafeteria is open during the night, 11pm-2am then 3am to 4am then again at 6am. Variety of foods to choose from. Free coffee/hot chocolate on the 2nd floor surgery waiting area. My 8 yr old daughter was in and out of surgery with no problems, I highly recommend this children's hospital. ♡
Parking is a challenge due to construction. Staff were professional, but not very friendly. We have no complaints about the procedure. On-site food and drinks are fairly expensive.
