My mother had brain surgery and was in the ICU. The entire staff from surgical to ICU were exceptional. Tony, a RN, was our favorite. They went out of their way to not only take care, with loving support, the challenging situation, but offered support to us, her family, as well.

-I feel like the pain management options and the surgery & recovery process could have been explained a little more thoroughly ahead of time; we were well into my second day before I learned that they pump gas into you during a c-section which could not only result in excruciating shoulder/lung pain but was best shaken loose by walking around.

In the end it just didn't work out the way either of us tried so hard for and so I was left recovering upstairs for the next three days. The nurses in the recovery ward were polite and responsive. It was a very busy weekend so I did occasionally have to ask for things more than once before they were brought in but -everything- I asked for was supplied to the best of their abilities.

Some critiques:

-I signed up for their newborn photography option and even after reminding then of such was never scheduled for a photo session.

Thank you too the staff at St. Luke's for being so awesome.

This hospital was super clean, there was an older lady at the ER I don't think she like what she's doing all that time she was mad, my wife delivered our first baby at this hospital staffing on delivery room was great so respectful and nice.

In healthcare it is so important to have people that live the mission of caring for others with respect. This facility does this and more.

The nursing staff really cares about your needs and feelings. They treat you like a real person and not an Insurance Company. They keep you updated on your progress and everything is done in a timely manner.

If I could give them ten stars I really would because they care about you and it shows.

I labored at the hospital for fourteen hours under the care of an amazing nursing & midwife staff, five of those hours being spent in transition/pushing. Nurse Brittani never left my side during those final few hours, coaching me and encouraging me and doing everything in her power to try and get the natural birth I wanted. (She even gave a recommendation for an excellent infant care book that I'm already getting use out of less than a week later)

Nurse Rachel was a complete lifesaver, gladly helping us through a long night with an inconsolable newborn no matter how many times we called her back into the room. She showed us how to get a good swaddle and some helpful tricks for feeding times and soothing fussy babies.

From doctors, nurses, and lactation to nutrition, administration, and housekeeping I was never once met by anyone who was rude, unpleasant, or didn't seem to genuinely enjoy what they were doing.

This is the best hospital I ever been to.

Even the director of the unit came and asked me how was I doing and how was I being treated by her staff.

My biggest complaint is 4th FLOOR ROOMS!! We were not able to change the room temperature, the room that my wife and my baby was stayed for 2 days, ROOMS was cold there was temperature adjuster but I think it was there for decoration, room was super cold we told our nurse but she said all the rooms has the same temp, overall changing the baby was the hardest part because he was shaking because of the room temp.

-On the second day one of the pediatricians came into our room to check up on our son. Near the end of her exam she opened his diaper and found that he'd had a bowel movement and almost immediately fled the room as though insulted that we hadn't changed him in the last ten minutes. She never even talked with us about the results of her checkup.

The staff here.... are amazing!! They took really good care of me while I was there. They did their health assessment on me ASAP. Never had I seen such a quick response at a medical facility before. I felt they truly had concern for my health and genuinely did everything they could to take care of me. The nurses and assistants were Super nice and very accommodating. Had answers for all my questions. Never felt like I had to wait "MONTHS" for test results. They were given to me before I even thought to ask! Soo glad I ended up here first. Thank You St. Lukes for the Awesome care provided.

Overall I was extremely satisfied with the level of care I received at this hospital. Having been present for births at Methodist & Westover Hills Santa Rosa I can easily say St. Luke's Baptist is leagues ahead of either of them. Even their childbirth classes were detailed and informative. Should I have anymore kids after this one I wouldn't even consider delivering anywhere but St. Luke's.

Phenomenal L&D and postpartum/maternity recovery wards. They stuck to the requests of my birth plan, only venturing from what was listed when I- not my mother- gave explicit approval.
