We have used Doctor Wood since 1993 when we moved to San Antonio. Larry is a good ole country vet who really give outstanding care. His prices are very reasonable and his staff is all great. When the dogs need to go in they let us drop off them off first thing in the morning and lick them up on the way home. Super convenient. Good bathing services too!
Dr. Wood truly is a country style Vet in the middle of the city. He does an AMAZING job on ear cropping for dogs! It's among the top work several people have seen through out the state of TX and even some other states. Individual pricing on items varies from fairly low to a bit high but overall is really competitive when comparing the final bill amount. The original manager was really unfriendly but I think that's changed and the rest of the staff is amazing as you can tell they are compassionate and enjoy what they do. I would highly recommend them if you live in the area, but definitely the best in town for ear cropping! They are worth the drive for that one service even if you don't live in San Antonio. Give them a shot!
Changing my review back to 5 stars. I gave this business 1 star awhile back because of Sandy who worked up front. I worked with her for awhile and I've never met some so incapable of empathy, respect and common sense. Very happy that she is gone and Dr. Wood' s reputation for being the best and having the best people can go back to the well deserved 5+ stars.
Seem to have changed management recently, oct/nov, and this place has improved. The young man in charge now has brought professionalism and fun back to the office and it shows. My pups love visiting and im comfortable with leaving them.
Warning dont take your pet Took my dog in one day and was told she had a UTI was charged over $500 dollors took her home 2 days later she began to bleed out took her back and was told the their other doctor she needed surgery or she would die and it would cost just under $1300 so after they miss diagnosed her and almost killed her they wouldn't even give me credit toward the first $500 that i had already payed and even though i was told i can make payments by their old manager their new manager will not honor my payment plan and wants me to pay up front i would have had the bill payed off if she would have never been miss diagnosed
