Today I was caught in the parking lot waiting for my wife to arrive so that we can purchase our anniversary wedding bands so that we can upgrade. While waiting I took a nap and the owner who happened to be walking inside the store stated I needed to leave because "this is private property". Since he was taking that attitude already I didn't bother to explain why I was loitering. I called my wife before she arrived and just asked her to meet me at Americus Diamond, which was, a MUCH better and pleasant experience.
Purchasing my engagement ring at Moretti's was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life. The ring was gorgeous and flawless and cost nearly $8,000, which my husband paid out of pocket. Less than 6 months later my diamond fell out. We did not even make it to the wedding before having to buy a replacement ring. Moretti's offers no insurance or warranty on their products so it was a total loss. I was beyond devastated. I called to speak with the owner about the issue and his response literally included "this is your fault... I do not even know why you are calling to tell me about this..." At the very least, I was owed a heartfelt apology. I would highly advise anyone to purchase fine jewelry elsewhere.
Any sufficiently expensive piece of jewelry should be specifically insured. This can be done quite easily through an existing home owners or renters insurance policy, and the cost is quite low when you consider the thought of replacing the ring yourself. This is true of any jewelry you'd buy from anywhere.
I was greeted immediately by Ruben. I was in the market for a ladies Rolex for my wife. He probably took every watch out of the display case for me. I found the one I liked and bought it. The price was $200 less than Lee Michaels (I called them afterwards just to check). Mr. Moretti came out to introduce himself in the process as well. Next time I need something I'll be stopping by there again. Good experience.
I recently purchased an engagement ring for my now fiancée from Moretti's, and we couldn't be happier. Ruben took great care to listen to what I was looking for and show me diamonds that aligned with my requests perfectly. He brought in several stones they didn't have in stock very quickly. When I described the type of band I was looking for, he showed me a picture that was spot on, exactly what I wanted. Other local shops went straight for the book of bands and we started flipping through options, which was overwhelming. Overall he took a very consultative approach to the entire experience, which I really appreciated. We will absolutely be back to look for our wedding bands.
