I booked a reservation at the same time I booked my Delta flight. My wife and I were flying in about 11:45PM, so the website made a reservation for us at Dollar for a 12:05AM car rental. When we arrived to the area for the shuttle to pick us up, we were informed that that particular Dollar location closed its doors at midnight and we would have to find another mode of transportation. We were not the only ones either, I met at two other couples who were left stranded. When I called the next day, they tried to tell me my appointment was actually for 12:05PM the next day. But I had photos from the website confirming my story. Still they didn't care and so I asked if I they still had my reservation and if I could pick it up before noon, and they replied yes as long as I paid extra for that time. When I arrived to the actual location everyone was friendly enough, but nobody even batted an eyelash at my story or cared. They simply asked if I still wanted that reservation. My car rental was fine, but my experience was soured. I understand that car rentals are a lucrative business, but seriously at least acknowledge that I was put in a really bad situation there. As the name implies only one thing maters to most businesses, that mighty dollar.
Absolutely horrible! Made reservation months prior online. I love in Michigan and flew to Texas with 3 of my kids (2 of them disabled). I FINALLY get to Dollar and give them my information. First she tells me that they will need to hold $300 because I'm using a debit card, I tell her that's ok. A few minutes later she says they can't rent to me because my credit score is to low. WTH does my credit score have to do with anything. I have the money to rent the car, I don't do credit cards and my credit is screwed up because I have disabled kids. Now I get to sit in a car rental place hundreds of miles from home and try to figure out what to do. Total BS
Absolutely wonderful experience! We decided to leave a day early for our trip and called the branch to see if we could pick up the premium suv a day early. Chris and Emma went out of their way yo make sure our needs were taken care of. Excellent service and a beautiful car!
My arrival experience was good the service was fast and friendly. My departure experience was horrible the man who checked my car back in was extremely rude and the shuttle driver saw me walking and flagging for him to wait for me he waited for the man who was a few steps ahead of me, looked me right in my eyes as I was approaching the shuttle and closed the doors and drove off with one passengers. The next driver arrived abound 15min later and was much better but her dropped us off at the very end of the drop lane and I had to walk all the way back to the top.
